I’ve been going through a lot in my personal life, and ‘S.T.A.R.’ helped me express that,” she says. The track represents the type of energy and people she's drawn to. “Lots of people ask me what my dating life is like or what I’m attracted to, and a star is my response. I’m definitely interested in a person with star qualities.”

It was an eye-opener for me to take my craft a little more seriously,” she says. Cuhdeejah credits her musical mentor Joe Moses for playing a key role in her journey. “Joe Moses literally held my hand, took me to the studio, and introduced me to people. He kept me focused, and I’m forever grateful to have had him be a part of my music journey,” she says. On a personal level, her father has been her biggest supporter from day one. “My dad has been encouraging me and investing in me since I first said I wanted to rap.”
