Suga Free on the Role of Violence in Pimping

In this clip, Suga Free reflects on how his mom felt upon finding out that her son had become a pimp, to which he insinuated that she took it in stride by saying “it was the thing” at the time. He further mentioned how pimps could be considered heroes of their communities, as they were loved by many and that you’d “hate to see us leave the room.” From there, the conversation shifts towards the role that violence plays in pimping, as Suga Free notes that some women will test you to see what they can get away with. With that said, today he believes that under no circumstances should you ever hit a woman, making that point with emphasis by stating “that’s what your mind is for.”
