The name is Black Buffet and I'm a producer and artist from Virginia, who transplanted to Cali. Buffet been involved in music for quite some time but more professionally since 2015. Buffet has several mixtapes hosted by DJ Carisma and have been on The Drama Hour with DJ Kay Slay and have been interviewed by DJ Envy when he was on HipHopNation. Buffet dropped his first album last year which had features from Pusha T and Cassidy with production from Nottz Raw, and had it chopped and screwed by DJ Red of Screwed Tapes and Records (Houston, TX).
Buffet’s second project and it's actually an EP. The name of the project is Narcocorridos Volume 1 (Trap House Killer). Anyone familiar with the border cities of America, mostly the panhandle of Texas knows about Narcocorridos. They are songs glorifying the lifestyles of crime. The are also heavily steeped in truth. I spent a little time along the border and realized that rap music and narcocorridos are essentially the same thing, just one has more of a ring truth to it. That spoke to me, and from then on I said I would release a series of Narcocorridos dedicated to the entire Black Market. Yet these would be set to hip hop and blues instead of banda musica.
The project has production from Nottz Raw, Mike Hurst, Frank Dutch the Producer, and myself. The only feature is from Norfolk, VA native A. Driver.
