Keaton Jones' Mom calls Confederate Flag Photos "Ironic and Funny"
The story of Keaton Jones is quite a sad one with a very questionable conclusion. Keaton is a young child who's tearjerking story about bullying went viral after his mother posted a clip of him describing how he's being bullied at school. This story then led to social media finding his mothers facebook account only to see multiple photos of Kimberly Jones posing with confederate flags that sent people online everywhere into shock. Celebrities and many other online social media users were devastated, more so because Keatons' mother Kimberly had created a Go Fund Me Account which she recently shut down, titled "Stand Up For Keaton" which reportedly raised around 55k in donations. After receiving millions of negative comments the Jones family then decided to sit down with Goodmorning America as a chance to explain what was going on and why she had photos of herself posing with the Confederate flag.
Kimberly tried to make peace stating "We're not racists, people who know us know that" she adds. "It was meant to be ironic, funny and extreme. I am genuinely truly sorry and if I could take it back I would." She further explains that if people want to hate her "that's fine," but just "talk to your kids" because bullying is an epidemic.
