Developing Story... Prayers For Las Vegas: Active Shooters on the strip
Tonight during the final evening of the Route 91 Music Festival in Vegas has been a tragedy. Tons of shots were heard on the strip near Mandalay Bay. Las Vegas police sent out a tweet asking everyone to avoid the areas near the Mandalay Bay Casino because they were receiving reports of active shooters around the strip.
The Mandalay Bay Casino sits on the south end of the famous strip on Las Vegas Blvd. and near the McCarran Intl. Airport. As of now police have shut down Las Vegas Blvd, with hopes of keeping others safe during their investigation. They also encourage others to stay away from the strip for a while. Flights are also being delayed in and out of the Nearby airport.
A couple of the artist's performing at tonight's festival immediately took to twitter after hearing the gunshots and sent out words of love during such a tragic time for both performers and their audience.
